$1 to buy my love

Remember this?

I never liked it. I had been searching for a replacement but hadn't found anything I really loved, well not any that didn't cost over $400.

When we go to Lowe's or Home Depot we always look in the paint department for "mistint" paints. A lot of times they have some colors we like for a couple of dollars. Brian found a small pot of a vibrant turquoise blue for $1.00 and bought it. At the time, I had no idea what we would use it for. Then inspiration hit. I decided to paint the chandelier. (well Brian actually painted it but still...)

After it was painted, I took the lamp shades off and added vintage crystals. These came off of the chandelier that was here when we moved in. The one that was being held together by twist ties.

I really, really love it now. It especially looks good against the gray I painted on the walls.
