Someone answer me this question. Why do children come running from all parts of the house when they hear glass breaking in the kitchen? And said children attempt to run right into the glass.
And why do children suddenly want to run up and down the stairs when the mom throws a bottle of fabric softener down the stairs thinking it was sealed but exploded all over the stairs and walls?
(don't ask.)
Why?

before & after
I picked up this little footstool at Goodwill for $3.99. Brian saw ugliness, I saw potential. I loved the shape of the little legs.
Here it is semi-before. I forgot to take a picture of it with the ugly orangy brown wood legs. I painted it my favorite turquoise color, sanded it, glazed it with some Valspar brown glaze and sealed it with poly. All of which I had here already.

Now that I look at it, I kind of like the fabric in the picture. Up close it was disgusting and dirty.
After:

I picked up this remnant at Joann's for $2.00. So for a grand total of $6, I have a cute little footstool.

wow
Well, this is one of those weeks. This all happened today.
* Stripped and stained our dining table only to hate it and sanded it down again. I ended up painting it and was finally putting the finishing poly top coat on when it collapsed in the middle. Hoping Brian can fix it tonight.
* Then a sock got stuck in the mudroom sink and the washer overflowed. Water everywhere. Got that cleaned up.
* Wanted to make bread today so I ground the wheat and wasn't able to get the lid off the grinder. Wheat stuck in there. No bread.
* Going to a bridal shower tonight and realized I have no wrapping paper at all. So my choices are leave present unwrapped and hand it to her (classy), wrap it in newspaper (even classier) or wrap it in tissue paper.
* Injured foot while working out and now it hurts.
* Primed a new footstool outside and was waiting for it to dry when a freak hailstorm passed through. Forgot about footstool until too late. Re-sanding and priming.
* Major clog in toilet that took me 10 minutes to clear enough to flush. Culprit: too much toilet paper.
* Realized that half of what I bought this week won't fit or work and needs to be returned. I hate returning stuff. Maybe Brian will do it :)
Kind of a frustrating day.
