Well I did it and I am very pleased. Since we have a large window in the bathroom and white beadboard along the bottom wall, it is not dark in there at all. In fact I think it brightened the room up as the color that is in there pops.

Sigh...why don't I do laundry before taking pictures? This built in isn't finished yet (and has been this way for 5 years. We'll finish it when we tear out the beadboard and tile the shower)

It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm enjoying it for now.

I love it!!!!! The black really makes the white pop !!!!! I also like the shower curtain fabric, very cool!!! Also I envy that you have a built in shelf in the bathroom. Our bathroom is lacking one !!!!!! We have to be creative to hide our stuff!!!!!

It looks fabulous! I've seen that same thing done with chalkboard paint in the powder room and loved that too. It makes a big statement. Great job! Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and transformation!
Have a great week!

I love it! I think the black works perfectly and love that shower curtain! Awesome job! I am in the middle of redoing our master bathroom, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Reveal will be coming soon!
So bold, so brave! I love how the hex tiles picks up the wall color and the color of the hardwood floors in the built-in closet!
