Hole in the wall.
Now a window! I had Brian remove the sheetrock from the wall completely due to my discovery of these amazing wood slats.
From the outside:
We're going to install the moulding around the frame and get started on hanging the beadboard paneling on the ceiling. After that the new floor goes in. Can't wait!

I think your mud room will turn out to be a gem by the time you're done! We have shiplap walls in more than half of our house and I love the way they look painted.
